Tell me about it! I spent years discussing with Anna Valley how to
improve their line doublers and where they fell over. I worked in
presentation graphics for about 6 years writing graphics systems
software and even doing computer animation smoothly with interlaced
displays (when you're working down at hardware level) is a complete pain
in the arse!

Unfortunately I would agree with you ... Interlace makes the numbers
look better for the punters while making the hardware cheaper.
