It IS possible that the memory is to blame, although I don't know whether
the code 0028 implies that.  Some applications/games will address parts
that
OS's cannot reach, as it were :-)  First thing to check (assuming you're
confident about opening up your PC and you don't have warranty stickers you
need to worry about) is to swap around the memory sticks, test, remove one,
test, remove the other etc etc.  That, of course, also assumes you have
more
than one piece of memory.  If you can borrow a bit of memory from someone
to
replace yours entirely to test, so much the better.

If you can't open it up, then I'd wait for any other suggestions that come
your way and, if they fail, take it back and ask for replacement memory -
there should be some kind of 30 day warranty thing at least.
