Scott,
If you don't mind me asking, was this a private sale, or a deal from a
retailer? and is it repeatable? We are in the market (or will be very
shortly) for a projector, and again, probably looking at the low end of the
market for that first fix of big screen in the home :)
Ian.

Thanks for the input guys.
Managed to pick one up for just over £1600. The results on a cream painted
wall are quite impressive.
Just waiting for the screen, pronto and some X10 modules to arrive then I
can really begin to play.
Sadly, to keep the other half happy (New dishwasher, decorating and Feb
holiday !!), the HomeVision will have to wait.
Time for an email to Keith about component versions of the KAT5 modules I
think.
Cheers.
Scott.

I cant say it was that noticable - we demo'd one next to a VW10 Sony unit
(£5k) - yes there was more line structure visible, but not that much,
Certainly not 3 grands worth ! Might be better spending the extra on a line
doubler.

noticed the new Sony vpl-hs1 cineza LCD projector at about the same price.
Anyone have any experience of this model ? I know it's at the bottom end of
the projector market as such, but seems to be getting favorable reviews.

Yeah, I've used a couple. They have gaps between the pixels. If you walk
up to the screen you'll see a matrix of unlit areas. It's OK rom 8-10
feet
away though.
