Just tried that, turns out the main thing I was doing different was sending
cursor right instead of the first display.
I also had an additional display sequence at the end as I don't usually
wish to see the bit rate whilst watching a movie. I took that out but i'll
need to put it back once SWMBO finishes with the PC.
so we have:
stop stop display enter nnn enter display display

only trouble with this if you are sending these blindly from a macro it
doesn't always work - if the display is already on pressing display turns
it off so you need to do something like.

only tried this manually - only just thought of it but I think I'll go and
try it on my pronto later.
