Yeah, the stop, stop, display, enter, NNN, enter, display is how I do mine with a macro.
 
I use supernudelist (download links from remotecentral.com) to catalogue them alphabetically. It's fabby.... but my player is full...... :S Must do something to increase capacity.....!

only trouble with this if you are sending these blindly from a macro it doesn't always work - if the display is already on pressing display turns it off so you need to do something like.

stop stop display enter nnn enter display

only tried this manually - only just thought of it but I think I'll go and try it on my pronto later.
