I know this was described ages ago, but I can't seem to find the
posts relating to it.

I need to transfer part of a DVD for a friend.
It's a Michael Jackson DVD, and it has the original "Thriller" on it.

The idea is basically to get this into a format for use with Windows
Media Player, such as VCD, DivX.

From there it is to be transfered on to video. That part is easy
enough, but never done the original encoding bit etc.

Anyone do this, or know of the steps involved.

Regards
Geraint.
