Strikes me that all this would be a good use for some old wiper motors
and
some welding. The smarts come under electronics - sounds like an
interesting DIY project.

I like the idea of these and saw them on

However our barn has a centre support running up the middle

which would
mean the opener couldn't be positioned centrally.
Also it would be very useful to be able to open the doors seperately.
Need to protect the cars from the doors opening if the car is in the way
as
well.
