As far as I was aware, you only have to have it plugged in for the first
year
of subscription, then what you do is up to you.
This is part of the subscription agreement (or was when I signed up)
that
qualifies you for reduced rate installation/equipment supply.
ISTR that if you didn't agree to this, the installation and equipment
costs
were ridiculously high.
