RE: Alarm system suggestions?

OK, I'll have to chip in here - (did someone mention my name - sort of?)
If you're considering our system for a hardwired, the Scantronic range are<= BR> the ones we use the most.

We do work with the others and I'm not saying Scantronic is better than the=
rest (to be frank
it doesn't make any difference to our service which of our recommends you use), but Scantronic is the
one we used as the benchmark for testing, and one we have set up in our dem= o
room.

I understand people's concerns over wireless, but should point out that the=
Powermax is a security
industry approved system, and you don't get X10 interfacing with the others= .

I'm not going to sell our service here - advert to come soon y'see...

I was having exactly the same though the other night, Ant.

I've already got a wired alarm system which I'd simply like to replace
the main box of - i.e. leave the PIRs (and if possible, the keypads).

I like the relative simplicity of Powermax (and it's cost) - but the
wirelessness of it puts me off.

The other thing was it'd be good if it worked with Intamac's Home
Manager...so I was beginning the task of looking at the ones they
support. That mainly being:

SCANTRONIC: 9750/9751/9752, 9850/9851/9852, 8136
MENVIER: TS690, TS790, TS2500, TS900
DSC: 'Power 832', 'Envoy'
