Discovery don't pay top rates to enable the use of full crews
And a G4 Powermac is the norm for these types of programmes where time is
not a factor
The top line kit really has the advantage of speed - the ability to cut 30
min of video for TX in a short time. In your case where the filming and TX
are light years apart in broadcast terms G4 style kit would be used. I would
guess the director also edits his own stuff.

I look forward to the series
Most times a small crew gets a better programme in these niche areas
It's good to here you mention lighting as well a lot of BBC "Choice" stuff
is done without - and it shows.
