Tivo - Broken

I have a Tivo that's two months old.

1. No RGB recording from AUX socket from Digibox (Digibox is putting
out
RGB fine)
2. VCR socket roken. Getting jumping and corrupted picture (like the
sync
is missing)

Tivo is also putting an RGB signal out just fine.

Powerhouse want to send out a service person and take it away. Can I go
to
the shop and ask for a replacement ? We (myself and Tivo services)
think
VCR socket may actually be broken.
