TIVO - Broken

My TiVo has two problems.

1. No RGB input recording on AUX socket
2. No viewable input on VCR socket (picture corrupted, jumping all over the place)

This unit is 2 months old, and Tivo direct would only replace it themselvces with a repaired unit. Power house want to send their service speed out to take it away.

Can I ask for a replacement in the shop ? its over 30 days old. Tivo direct have said it must be a hardware problem (i think the VCR scart is broken personally)
