Re: RE: Measuring bath water depth

I can only speak for my own overflow here, but it handles that quite
nicely...... often in the hot summer days I want to wash the crud off my
legs and get rid of the sweat etc, so get in a nice hot bath, but it can
be too hot to sit in after a while..... putting the cold on full blast
(I've got what seems like quite high mains water pressure, not a namby
pamby trickle) to cool myself down, and the overflow deals with all that
perfectly.

Yeah, I'd be a bit skeptical of using it for that too, but Campbell said
he's already installed that with AD10s, so thats what I was working
with..... :) Of course, if the overflow works to a suitable degree, the
worst case that would happen with it being on by mistake while out is
coming home to no hot water, or the boiler having been running all day,
depending on water heating system type.

At least in Scotland we're not metered on our water consumption :)

Yeah, thats one thing that could change..... :S

Yeah, it does sound like a nice idea..... but if you're going to the
trouble of distinct level of water, I'd expect you'd want some sort of
temperature monitoring as well, so you knew that the bath you'd just run
wasn't icy cold, or scalding hot.....? !
