No the splitters are passive devices , no fancy electronics just resistors for the ir leds.

    Initial testing from memory was 15ft but that was driving the output at around 5mA ,if used in blaster mode say 20mA or more the range would be extended but my testing has been done using the stick on emitter system would need to do some testing . The homebrew unit was txing around 20ft but the ir led was looking at the tv.

Not sure what you mean about patching . But not intending to design another version of the board unless there was a huge demand sorry...

Good question as i said the pcb is approx 75mm x 45mm ????????????

No ... i did ask when designing the new board if pc comms was required no one replied so i took that as no one interested..........
