The IR is sent out from Homevision to a specific zone by selecting
combinations of A ports on the HV. That is something quite specific
to the HV hardware and you would need some piece of hardware
(presumably a relay board of some sort) to replicate that behavior.
I'm not saying it is impossible, but simply pointing out that Frank's
design relies upon some harware features of Homevision as well
as 'programming' within it.
