Cool.... I just got a weird image in my head with the "so she can always
get to one easily and quickly."... made me think of fire escapes :)

At the moment we only have one Pronto and one going to bed button.....
whoever goes to bed last presses it and the TV/ Amp etc power down and
the lighting stuff begins. If someone goes to bed themselves first, they
normally just manually switch the ceiling rose light on in the bedroom,
then dim it down/ switch it off from the minitimers when appropriate.

Infact, now that I think of it, we have 2 going to bed buttons.... one
is a "everyone in flat going to bed" and the other is "someone is
already in bed".... the second one doesn't switch on the bedside
tablelamps, but does the hall and bathroom lights the same as the first one.

Main problem at the moment is SWMBO bringing the Pronto to bed, which
means I need to grab it from her side in the morning to take into living
room..... (I can easily sleep through her watching TV at dark o'clock) I
need to either get around to downloading the Tivo codes for the
all-for-one remote in the bedroom, get the pdawin software for the iPaq,
or buy another Pronto..... :)
