I've got an older version of LAME, and yes, I have spent a reasonable amount of money on cables over the years :-)

That would be "--r3mix".

However in recent versions of Lame this setting has been superceeded
by the parameters "--presets standard" or "--presets extreme" (think
those are the right names).

There's also a "--presets insane" but unless you believe in
oxygen-free cables, etc there should never be any need for that :-)
