I would imagine these people are running scripts which parse data from webpages
which is then used to populate some virtual devices or global HS variables.
When building your asp pages you can just sprinkle the data around. e.g.
<%=hs.getvar("TodaysHi")%>
<%=hs.devicestringbyname("Virtual Shares")%>

Thats how I do it anyway :-)
