Another couple of options to consider, both of which I have used.

First is to use a UK broker, they will sort out everything for you
and often you simply collect the car from them (I did this with my
Discovery, saved =A36000 off UK list without any hassle from Nick
Kerner Engineering http://= www.nick-kerner.demon.co.uk).

You could also try one of the car supermarket places (I used
motorpoint in Derby http://www.mot= orpoint.co.uk, saved =A33000 off list
on a Renault Scenic).

In both cases you will not save as much as dealing with a foreign
dealership direct, but it is a very easy process. With the Motorpoint
option we actually turned up with the cash and drove the car away,
they shift something like 50 cars a day from memory (but don't insult
them by asking for a deal!). I just had a look at their site and they
have a fair few A-class Mercs

Regards

Graham
