Do you mean you extended the IR emitters?

I have had no joy extending the receiver, but I suspect that this is
because there is not enough power to driver the signal =96 maybe I=92ll hav= e
more success doing it your way.

I extended the transmitters not the receiver, just used one of the pairs in the Cat5.
