If you wish to browse to them via the network, then it's easiest to, but
not
essential. You can still browse the various machines on the network
by
hitting start > run and tapping in \\machinename - I nearly always use
this.
If you wish to surf the 'net with them, then all you need do is make
sure
they have TCP-IP setup correctly (ie, a valid IP and subnet), and set
the
gateway. Of course, they'll need DNS as well to resolve domain
names. What
exactly do you want to get from the network?
