Re: post question

Hi Steve
I happen to be a friend of the hardware designer of
Genesis a guy called John Hola .Back in the early 90,s i was contracting to a company who used his panels so thats how i met him and became friends.Yes its aimed at large commercial sites, but can be used in homes as small as mine .At the moment i do not use door control ,but my (ras)keypad has provision for 2 card readers .There is a two door controller board which is very popular in the commercial  field. The main panel with 16 sectors(zones) expanable to 32 with built in dialler , battery ,plugpakand keypad would sell for around $700.00 Aus or approx 240 pounds .Over here its much cheaper to buy than Comfort ( $1700.00)although it doesnt have x10 or intercom features.

MessageJust looking at genesis, it seems an extensive comercial system, how
did you come by it?
What are the prices like, for a minimal instalation?
Do you use door control, and things like that?

Thanks
Steve D
