            genesiselectronics.com.au is the website .i currently have 64 inputs and 64 outputs on my Genesis system.Its expanable to 512 in and 512 out and lots of access control .Have a look.ITs much cheaper to use for me to use Genesis hardware .

The plan is to get Comfort and integrate that to HV as an intelligent alarm system so as I can get X10 and serial communication between them. You do know that if its simple relays that control your lighting HV can do this by using one of the output ports? TBH, I’ve never even heard of the Genesis alarm system and it does sound quite intriguing, have you any URLs for info on it?

            When i get the feel of Homevision i hope to get it talking to my alarm panel (Genesis) thru the serial port.My alarm system currently controls all my lighting (relay control) which i will transfer to Homevision x10 dimmers.Have you done anything like that?

Yeah, I do use it a fair bit and with some, ahem, different, solutions to problems ;-)

 

I still have barely scratched the surface of what it can do though IMO but I’m more than happy to try and help anyone out if I can. PITW, I have yet to find something I *can’t* do using HV that I want to do, getting the time and finance to actually do it is a whole another matter!!
