Mark,

Try using the Dusk till dawn controller. It can be used simply as a trigger
unit or like a mini controller it can be used to manually trigger X-10
devices or events. It has as you requested light level adjustment and is
quite economical at around £25 from Laser.

Subject: Help with X10 Dusk to dawn switching

Can anyone suggest the best way to control lighting with a dawn to
dusk photocell for my X10 lighting with CM12U PC controller?

I am using appliance modules for lamps around the house, as they all
have economy bulbs in.

I have the CM12U controlling the modules, but need something to
switch the lights off/on at daylight/darkness, so I dont have to keep
altering the timers in the PC module

I really would like something with adjustable light level if possible.

Any advice or links would be appreciated.

I would be happy to build my own, if there are any good DIY projects
out there.

Thanks,

Mark G.
