Way back in 1984 Norwich Union were the only company that would insure me
as
a DJ despite having a clean licence and FULL no claims bonus.

I was only paying 40% of the premium and was paying £400 per year, that
made
the full premium £1000. The van was bought by me when it was 2 years old
for
£2200 and by then it was 5 years old. Worse thing was.... it DIDNT cover
any
of the content, JUST the veicle and any damage to other people/property
with
me as the ONLY driver.

By comparison, my current policy is with Frizzel through the CSMA, it
covers
my Peugeot 309 GLD (J reg) and Sharons Peugeot 309 Look (H reg). Both are
fully comp with protected bonus etc. Total for BOTH cars is £400.

Total value of both cars is probably about the same unless the fuel tanks
are full !

Keith ( I still want another van )

Hate cars now, been driving 21 years without a crash and still get
clobbered
by the insurance companies!

Mind you, company van now :-)))))
