Just received this:

"Dear Matt

Thank you for your interest in ntl's wireless hi-speed access modem
trial
(WHAM) taking place in London.

We evaluate trial customers by looking at your address and post code
and,
using a communications software tool, try to establish whether your
property
has line of sight into one of our transmission stations.

Good News!!! Our software shows that your property is located in a
serviceable area and that you have line of site to one of our
transmission
stations. Our installation teams will be contacting you shortly to
setup an
appointment for installation....at no cost to you.

I must warn you that there is a slight chance that, upon on-site
survey, we
may find an anomaly that would mean we were unable to complete the
installation.

Again, thanks for your interest and we will contact you shortly.

ntl Wireless Trials Team"

Might be useful as a backup when the ADSL line is down.... :-) But
I'm not too hopeful, there's no wiew of any significant remote
buildings (apart from the Canary Wharf tower) from our house, I
recall reading that the base station is at Guy's Hospital.
