Both Comet and Scottish Power have warranties now where you get the cost of the warranty back if you don't use it...

At the end of your Richer Sounds warranty, if you haven't used it, you can claim the cost of it back.

But who's going to remember after 5 yrs (!)

But saying that, the BEST shop for warranties is John Lewis - got our washing machine to 5 yrs for another 30 quid, same for the dishwasher, etc.

And on my barclaycard, I get an extra 2 yrs warranty free (above the standard 1 yr warranty) - recently had my Dads portable DVD player repaird - the cost of the repair was higher than what we paid - and it was a nice free Barclaycard warranty. Doesnt apply to all items tho - they have a list...

I have to agree with the Richer Sounds warrant. Was in there yesterday
looking for a new amp, and the cost (or lack of) for their extened
warranties struck me a very good value for money. Something I might even
take out.
