It probably wont cause interference because CAT5 is so good at rejecting
it.
You CANT run low voltage cabling in the same conduit as mains voltage
inless
there is a barrier between them. A thin plastic conduit for the CAT5 inside
the main conduit would probably pass the regulations although James could
probably quote the exact passage from the 16th Edition of the IEE regs
;-))

Is anyone able to point me toward any regulations that state whether or not
I can run Cat5 cable alongside mains power cabling inside the same conduit?
I know doing this would cause interference on the cat5 from the mains, I'm
just looking for clarifications of regulations...
