CAT 5 testers

I'm now thinking about making a couple of break out type boxes,
one for each end of the CAT5 cable.
I can put four pairs of spring loaded loudspeaker connectors on each
box and have a flying lead with an RJ45 plug on each box to connect to
the two test units.
That would seem to be my best bet as I don't want to be involved with
crimping plugs onto cables just to test them!
Anybody got any other ideas?
