There is now no charge for this as long as you use 14.4 or below. 28.8
attracts a 25p per minute charge. Unless (currently) you use an 0800 number
for data in which case it's free for any speed.
But Orange called me this morning, observed I use a *lot* of 0800 data and
told me they are starting to charge for 0800 data calls as of November. As
I
just renewed two contracts I feel ambushed. I have also just signed up with
08002go for a year at £10 per month, and as I'll be switching to
geographical data access (cheaper!) this will be wasted.
