One thing I seem to recall is that a particualr MP3 Player (Rio mebbe? not
sure though) would format a memory card to it's own format after which it
was damn all use on anything else. I hope that isn't the case with any of
the digital cameras or or other devices as it sort of screws the concept of
interchangeablity between devices.

My only concern with these is that they are proprietary to Sony, don't get
me wrong I like sony kit, my TRV900 DV Camera is Rover's testicles, but I
would rather use non-proprietary memory. In fact the TRV900 has a PCMIA
slot
which takes Compact Flash in an adaptor for stills.

Ever thought of Sony's memory sticks?
I us a Sony DSC F505v with 3.3m pixels, mainly to take macro shots of eyes
&
lid surgery - the shots at 'medium' resolution (1800x1300) are superb for
printouts, powerpoint presentations with projectors etc
It was supplied with a tiny 8mb memory stick, but i soon got 64mb which
holds around 60 pics at the above resolution
I recently got an iPAQ with the pcmcia expansion jacket & the memory
stick
pcmcia adaptor. So i can use the same memory stick in my camera & then
view
the images at once on the ipaq, as well as using it as storage for other
files for the ipaq

i know there are similar uses for sm & cf, which are also slightly
cheaper
but memory sticks work fine for me!!
