Agreed, although I was not considering using an individual TINI for each
light switch etc. Ian suggested using a TINI to manage the 1-wire bus and
using 1-wire sensors/relays/switches for the device work.  A 1-wire switch
in the light switch and the TINI keeps track of the status of these
devices.

I cant say these are my own original thoughts but something Ive heard and
thought it sounds good ;-)

I have a TINI working it very good although the initial set-up is not that
easy. I have a STEP from Systronix.

The problem I have with the TINI is that it is not that small its to big to
go into a single gang wall box, It will go in a double. Also the cost of
the
TINI boards does make it a bit expensive as (for instance) a light switch
replacement.
