Just to clear this up, I am not looking to make any profit on these units,
the 140 quid is to cover worst case scenario with excessive exchange rates,
no discount and allowing plenty for repacking so that the units don't get
damaged and therefore we don't need insurance. I will keep track of all
costs and refund any excess payments. Right now the actual estimated cost
of
having the units delivered to my house is $189 each and I am allowing 7
quid
each for onward delivery from me. That is how I get to the 140 quid being
requested. However this was based on 50 units, it now looks like there will
be 55, if this leads to a decrease in per unit costs, then that will be
passed on. Also we have no real idea how much the packing materials are
going to cost (for example pallets may be required) and have therefore
allowed plenty on that score. Finally, although Dell responded to my
request
for a quote with the standard price, I have since complained and they have
now replied saying that once I give them precise numbers and address
information, then they will reconsider. As far as I can see, the only way
to
get one of these units cheaper is to have someone bring it over in their
own
luggage, if you have that opportunity then grab it!

Regards

Graham

Graham

What I hadn't considered was that shipping was going to be so expensive.
I'd reckoned on about 30/40 quid! That's clearly wrong.

As I said on a post to group I'm not sure I'm ready for one. Now I have an
idea what it'll cost to get one of my own sent later, I'll think about it
and let you know in a few days.

Cheers
