RE: CCTV camera advice (OT)

Ive seen a couple of motorbike videos where there using those sony video 8
and dv recorders, usually either strapped to the bike or in the riders
pocket. (there really small) I tried playing around with transmitting from
the car to the pits last year but couldn't eliminate enough interference
from the car to make it work properly.  What you can do with those
transmitters that's quite cool is strap a pinhole to a peg and place it on
the in-field right up next to the track, and transmit back to your pits,
gives your pit crew a chance to see a little bit more action than they can
from there position. (I used a 14" TV strapped to our trailer running
of a
cheapo inverter, still works perfectly.)

Any thoughts on make, price, where to buy etc. Also the tracks tend to be a
little more sprawling with only Lydden being that small. Snettertopn for
example has a 1.3 mile straight. I'm interested though.

If you want to record your 12volt CCTV camera output without having the VCR
onboard! - use a good 2.4Ghz microwave video sender transmitter in the
vehicle and have the receiver and VCR close by. All can be powered via
12volts DC and is great if you keep within 300metres of each other. I have
seen this set up work well for track racing
