My cameras do have PIR, but I like the sound of connecting to Comfort (I
have all the kit but nothing installed yet). I could intercept the PIR
signal and process it through comfort according to other criteria. For
example during the day when the gardener is here, I would not want to be
constantly switching cameras as he moves around outside. I could also then
use the PIR trigger to turn on lights at night as well as switching
cameras.
The ability to switch through comfort would be good too as I can control
Comfort from an ePOD using ACE.

As for tapping in to the camera connections, I was going to do that anyway,
I plan to use CAT5 to replace the wire that comes with the cameras so that
I
can move them from port to port and re-route them from the patch panel.
Incidentally, there are four wires in the supplied leads and of course 8 in
CAT5, should I double up (using a pair to replace each original wire) or
are
there specific wires I should use.

Regards

Graham
