Huh? - you mean it behaves differently when on a hotsync cable than when in
a cradle? - the palm can stay cradled 100% of the time quite happily (which
is exactly what I do with it currently). It just auto-off's after 30
seconds. Initiating a hotsync from either end wakes it up again.

Is this behaviour different on a cable? Or are you saying that even when it
has auto-off'ed it is still powering the serial interface?

explain please!!
