OK, I'm getting seriously fed up with the number of DNS errors I keep
getting. I'm using WinRoute Pro with DNS forwarding to specified (4)
DNS servers and local caching enabled.

Virtually _every_ time I attempt to browse a site, it sits there for
10-20 seconds and then reports a DNS or server error. Hitting
refresh multiple time sometimes cures it - more often than not I end
up closing IE, restarting another browser session and trying again -
sometimes it works immediately - go figure!

Is there some software/service that I can use to provide better
caching of DNS entries on my own Win2K Pro machine (seeing that
WinRoute is doing such a terrible job)? I know they upgraded to
Win2K server at work (from NT4) and configured something to do with
DNS to get around similar issues (but I don't run server).

James H
