Hi Mark

Stuart G and myself have been looking at producing the BIK sensor over here
as a kit or whatever. The sensors are not available commercially any more.

They work by producing a very low power RF field between two aerials and
then detecting when that field changes i.e. is partly earthed by someone
walking into it. This can in turn be acted upon by HV e.g. turn on or off
the bathroom light. The BIK web site gives a lot more detail.

We have a PCB made but there has been a bit of a delay as other priorities
like getting married and going on honeymoon have come along. Stuart will be
able to give you a better update on the construction side.

Ian

You can find out about it here : http://www.bik.com/

Someone was trying to get the boards and stuff to build it on this forum,
but it has not surfaced for awhile now.

BIK sensors - what are these and how do they over come the problem you
describe?
