For the Windows XP betas that we have here we can do 10 installs per serial number and each installed machine has to be connected to the internet within 14 days so that it can register itself or it will stop working.

Isn’t there also an issue that the XP software really is licensed to a machine as opposed the user?

We are a Microsoft Partner, and have seen Office XP Betas for a while now.
in my opinion it's yet more of the same: the typical user will now use <3%
of the product rather than <5%

It is not any easier to use, all the menus have been moved around (again)
and it consume hideous amounts of resource. I have reverted back to Office
2K.

As for WindowsXP ? don't know yet: I have not installed it in any test
environment.

Ian.

versions of Windows XP for that matter), and are they worth it or purely
cosmetic upgrades?
