Re: OT ? Rope Lights



This Old House or Hometime, or one of the programs on Home & Leisure
had
Fibre Optic rope lights. With the light generator at one end and two
different types of "rope". One in the fashion you describe, and
another that
delivered the light t  more traditional type flat, low voltage halogen bulb
holders (but without the bulb obviously) The advantage here being that
there's no heat at the light end, so they can safely be used in floors
without scolding you.

Sorry to be so vague, but I can't remember them giving any details of
manufacturers.
