Re: Sky+ Press Release and Info

A Quad LNB is used for Multi dwelling buildings. Sky plus will be a dual LNB requiring 2 cables. You will need a new digi-box which will let you watch 1 channel but it will have a built in recording facility which you will be able t view, But only the recorded material. Therefore, if you have two TV's you will be able t watch real time Sky on one and watch recorded material on the other.

Mark, I suspect you will als need a dual LNB.  Other wise the tuner front ends won't be able independantly select between horizontal and vertical polarisation. Clive

 Mark,

I can confirm that a second cable is required t the LNB.
The launch date is 1 st October 2001
I can't help you on cost, But like the multi-channel digi box that should be out not long after, A sliding scale of charges should apply, Maybe?
