Possibly dumb questions but still:
1) Can the outdoor unit be fitted behind a tree with *very* little
clearance or s mething? The unit is for the front bedroom and I don't
really want it "displayed" on the front of the house. Sky
MiniDish is
just above a conifer on the same wall s is not too noticeable so I
was thinking of dropping the aircon external unit underneath the dish
therefore behind the tree.
2) If I fitted the unit t the outside of the house, what is the
position with the neighbours? One of the alternatives t placing the
external unit on the front of the house is t place it on the side
but this would overhang the neighbour's drive. The road I live on is
basically all detached houses, but the detachment is the drives, i.e.:
HDHDHD
where H = House, D = Drive
Their driveway gate was attached to my house without my permission
but it obviously stays on their side of the property line. I am sure
they would be OK with me fitting the unit there (assuming it doesn't
rain on them all the time) but wondered for the future if the
neighbours changed or I moved away and the unit was left there, what
the position would be.
3) What is the best way for creating the hole for the connecting
pipe. I have seen 8cm mentioned as the required sizewhich I assume to
be diameter (I would have only recently completed decoring that
room!) and other than hiring a cutting bit and possibly a drill am
not sure of the best way to ruin the wall.
Thanks,
Mark.
