The response cameras which I have are better quality than others at similar
price e.g. Kingston/micromark (my opinion). If you can get them at reduced
price from Homebase then even better. I use B&W 0.5 lux (colour 20 lux)
which enable me to watch outside at night using only the street lights. If
you get the pir version it will enable camear switching on detection, which
you may make use of or not. Remember the mini din plug has power and maybe
autoswitching voltage which will possibly not be the same as the switcher
you intend to use. The microphones on the response cameras are excellent,
the Kingston mics are also very good.

The Response uses RJ11 for light and buzzer operation, RJ 45 for IR control
of VCR/TV. The mini din connects camera to distribuition box  into which
the
12v power and phono out for tv is connected. A 15 pin D socket is also
there
for connection to modulator.
