Sorry...should have said.

He's running Win98SE and using ICS.  However, the machine he's trying to
connect to IS the one with the modem on it.  This is almost identical to my
setup (although I'm running Win2000) and I can VNC into my router machine
no
problem.

He's on BTInternet (same as me also).

Wierd!
