The Comfort wiring was done by my alarm installer.  They used 8 core
SHIELDED cable (this is a requirement because of the voice and mic lines).

The 8 core was used everywhere (even to PIRs, door sensors etc).  This
leaves additional cores that can be possibly be used in the future like
Nigel's IR receivers built into his PIRs.

As for a supplier - try letsautomate.com

Anyone else know of any on-line specialist cable suppliers?
