I have purchased goods from smarthome and pay via credit card. However, I
get them to send the goods to addresses in the US (relatives or hotels if I
am there). The service for this is fine. Cost of shipping to the UK is
sometimes more than the product itself.

Customer service can be a bit awkward, as they are not really geared up for
"international" callers - you have to persist.

Hope this helps

Clive

This may be a silly question, and apologies to letsautomate.com
representatives here, but do British people here buy from
smarthome.com in the US? I am looking at their Impedance match volume
control with built-in IR sensor (http://www.smarthome.com/8284.html)
as I haven't found anything similar in the UK.

What is the service/delivery like, as foreign customers, and how do
people pay?

Dave
