MK do some low cost trunking called "Lincoln". This fits at floor
level
and allows mains cables to be run in one compartment and all your comms in
a different one. Sockets fit onto the stuff and are placed about a foot
off floor level - some regulation or other. I recently used this stuff in
a new room that has a solid floor and walls that are underground!

Neat stuff and not too expensive. Go to an electric wholesaler, blag a
catalogue and negotiate your discount off MK's trade prices.
