I've been re-building my PC for a few days so I've missed most of the
arguments.

1. Ripping music for your own use is fine. Putting music on an FTP server,
or circulating CD-Rs is more than bending the rules it is theft, no
question.

2. I've just re-installed all the software on my PC, and I used orginal CDs
or license keys for all the software I installed, so the answer to your
question is yes. I have in the past borrowed CDs to try out software. If I
use it for more than a month or so, I buy a pukker copy.

Tim.
