Does anyone here use LIRC to remote control their PC? I'm hoping to build
Nigels IR repeater for my stereo in the office next to the bedroom, If I
could add IR control from my PC that would be an added bonus.

Do you think I'd be able to use the TSOP as the IR receiver for LIRC? It's
a complete IR receiver package isn't it? Does anyone have a link to the
TSOP data sheet?

What about transmitters? Should Nigels circuit be able to be used as a
transmitter connected to a serial port? Perhaps I could use a TSOP and
capture the input to be replayed later?
