Just to ask another question :)

I'm moving ito a new house in a month or so Keith, so if you could
answer a few questions, it'll help with my wiring decisions.

You mention that AV and IR will go down the same CAT5 cable, that's
excellent and saves me having to wire a whole CAT5 run just for the IR
to go on.

Ideally I want to have my Pronto remote, fire off a signal, the PC to
pick up that signal, and decide where to send it. The way I was going
to do this was to utilise the PC paralel port, one input and then up to
8(?) outputs for the different rooms, or zones. This way, I'd be easily
able to ignore any input for a second after any signal was transmitted,
avoiding the scenario you pointed out the other day. From what I've
read, your gadget is transmit only for IR, is that right?

For Mark's "show of hands" I'd be interested in the first option,
how
many would depend on the answer to the aboce :)

Cheers,

Stu.
